Many times people will ask,
"I would love to go to Turkey with your team, but since I can't,
what can I do to help out?"
or they might say,
"Is there any way I can help your team in this effort?"
Well the resounding answer is, "Absolutely, YES, you can help out!" Please
continuing reading to learn more about many of the possible ways you can help this effort.
Spiritual Support: Prayer - It is THE most important item and one of the
easiest things that all of us can do. Best of all, it doesn't cost anything! There are
many items to consider when praying for this effort. Here is a list of some ideas:
1. First and foremost, all of this must be according to the Will of
God. If is not, it will come to nothing. Therefore, please pray that God's will (not yours
or ours) be accomplished in this effort.
2. That in an effort which could possibly receive world wide recognition, please pray
that God be given the glory and not man. Prayers for the team for humility would be very
beneficial for a successful expedition.
3. Turkey and Mount Ararat are a hotbed of troubles and a very dangerous place for an
explorer. Mount Ararat is a dormant volcano which last erupted in 1840. Dangerous people
live on this mountain. Take a look at Mount
Ararat: Dangers for more information. Prayers for a safe expedition would be much
appreciated.
4. Weather is a major concern. If the glacial ice has not melted far enough, then a
visual expedition is out of the question. The Ararat region requires a warm, dry winter,
spring and summer. This kind of weather promotes retreating glacial ice which is perfect
for our efforts. Please pray for good weather and a sufficient warm, dry period on Mt.
Ararat prior to the expedition.
Verbal Support: Your Friends - Talk it up. Let your friends know what is
happening. Pass the word that some very interesting things are going on with the search
for Noah's Ark. Let others know about this Web site so they can get informed just like
you. Email is very powerful and Web access seems to be more and more prolific, email your
friends with this address.
Or, let your church know about these efforts.
